Treatment of Diabetes Type 2

This is the program I have been following for the past 40 years for my diabetes II that has helped me stay in better shape than all my brothers who have had the same genetic disease that all males of my generation inherited from my Do ancestor. I am the only one who has not yet resorted to hypoglycemic or insulin conventional therapeutics.

The reason one develop late-stage diabetic neuropathy and retinopathy is that they does not do the complementary medicine necessary to protect sugar glycation of the eyes and the nerves.

Conventional medicine addresses only insulin sensitivity and the like. No organ or tissue protection was addressed.

So, we need to take the following:

a. Alpha Lipoic Acid: Use the German recommendation of high dose of this most important of all substances to treat diabetes: 300 mg to 500 mg tid po (3 times a day by mouth). People who don't use this  universal antioxidant always develop neuropathy, retinopathy, kidney and heart failure. Vitamin World has this product at decent price and good quality.

c. L-Carnitine: 500-1,000 mg bid (2 times a day). This product helps prevent neuropathy because deficiency of this product causes neuropathy. It sensitizes tissues to insulin and plays a major role in sugar metabolism. Vitamin World is a good affordable source.

d. Carnosine: 1,000 mg a day. It is available from Life Extension website. This product stops the glycation of sugar on tissues.

e. Strong Diabetic Formula: This is a product by Vitamin World. Other companies do make similar product.

f. Super Antigerm: Use 5 drops each on the sole of the feet to prevent feet infection that won't heal and will lead to foot amputation.

g. CoQ10: It will enhance beta cells in the pancreas in producing insulin, protect the heart, improve glycemic control.

h. Silymarin or Silibinin, Milk Thistle extracts, that helps the liver metabolize sugar.  Protandim will cover this. Otherwise you need 60 mg silibinin and 200 mg silymarin tid.

i. A good mineral and vitamin mix like Life Extension Mix or Life Extension Super Booster. Magnesium is vital for diabetes treatment since it lowers blood sugar level and increases insulin sensitivity. Take at least 400 mg daily.
